The Konica 7055 Workgroup Document System is designed for mid to
high volume workgroup environments. The Konica 7055 is introduced
on the heels of the successful launch of the Konica 7065 last fall.
This product is built off of the same engine and offers many of
the same features of its faster big brother.
Due
to its mid-level engine speed, the Konica 7055 provides a solution
for a wide range of applications, from small to mid volume workgroups
up to mid-high volume print-for-pay establishments. Below are some
of the features that makes this latest product a winner in the market.
55 pages
per minute in both copying and printing at 400 dpi and 600
dpi (print only).
Simplified
user interface similar to Konica 7065 offering interactive
touch screen, including Help Mode, and dedicated Key Operator
Mode.
DF-312
Document feeder employs scan-once-print-many technology for
faster job processing and more productive scanning of originals.
Two finishing
options include the FS-106 for basic finishing and the FS-108B
for more advanced finishing including saddle stitching and
folding.
Optional
Post Sheet Insertion (PI-108) allows for up to 110 lb index.
Standard
3,600-sheet paper capacity from four paper sources. Add optional
3,500-sheet LCT for a maximum paper capacity of 7,100 sheets.
Heavy
Paper Stock availability, up to 65 lb. Cover through multi-sheet
bypass tray.
Automatic
Tray Switching available from all trays. A newly added "Program
Job" feature allowing the selection of multiple paper sources
within a single job (this new function is also available for
the Konica 7065 with a software upgrade).
Network connectivity available immediately upon launch through
the existing IP-303 print controller. This is the same print
controller that powers our Konica 7065 and it offers the following
specs:

333 MHz Intel® processor - increased speed for increased
performance.

MB RAM Memory moved from SIMM to DIMM Memory. This more
popular memory (SDRAM style) does not need to be added
in pairs and it less expensive. A maximum of 512 MB is
possible.
Hard
Drive increased from 1.6 GB to 2.2 GB - more space for
more workflow and less contention issues.
Simultaneous
Tandem Copy and Tandem Print availability - to maximize productivity,
this system will now offer a maximum of 110-ppm output.
Maximum
Monthly Copy Volume of 300,000 impressions per month make
this durable machine a high volume choice at a mid-volume
price!
Increased
Toner Capacity to 33,000 impressions really helped to move
the Konica 7065, we are sure that this will help the Konica
7055 as well.
